Selfie Does Birthday Freebies
First, let me just clarify right here that it is not, in fact, my birthday. You know that thing where human adults trap you into conversations so they can sneakily drop that it’s their birthday and then, you are socially obligated to say “Oh, hey! Happy Birthday!” Even though you don’t care at all? Oh... is that just me because I’m a bad person? [grimace face emoji]. Anyways, I don’t suffer from that particular affliction because I’m happy to walk around like a 7-year-old (or for fans of the great American drama, Vanderpump Rules, Stassi Schroeder) yelling“IT’S MY BIRTHDAY”. So, this isn’t that.
Also, you know what meme where it’s like:
Anyone: [silence]
Blogger: So, everyone’s been asking me for this…”
It’s not that either. This one was really was a request from a bit ago and I’m more than happy to spill the kombucha as it were.* Point being, if your birthday is coming up sometimes this...year, and you like free stuff, I gotchu. See, the one dicey thing about this for me is that I get a lot of coupons and then it’s Black Friday but it’s also time for Christmas shopping but I’m like Scrooge McDuck scooting all the coin to myself.** However, if your birthday is at a normal time of year, we know that adult birthdays can sometimes not be as fun so, you make it rain free ice cream, friend!
Annnnyways, here are all the places in Austin that have free stuff for your birthday that I find useful!
Fitness Classes/Apparel
Knockout Austin - Downtown - Free Glove Rental
Reebok - Barton Creek Square - 20% Off

Barre3 - Downtown/Hill Country Galleria - Free Class (Must be used on actual BDay).
Mod Fitness - Rosedale - $10 off $30 purchase
Lorna Jane - The Domain Northside/Online - 20% off (full-priced merchandise)

Ulta Beauty - Arbor Walk/Sunset Valley/Online - 2x points + Free Gift (Amount can vary based on point status - I used to get a $10 coupon. Can’t be used at salon/brow bar. Free gift is in store only)
Other
360 Tans - Westlake - 50% off any single service or product
Clean Slate - - 15% off Single Service Wax
What’s fine print here? All of these require that you have given these brands your email so if you don’t have a junk email address for this (I don’t because apparently I love emails and also, am one of those people afflicted with the need for the inbox to have no alerts) just a heads up about the spam the rest of the year. And ugh, I will say that brands have now gotten into a habit of just sending a birthday email sans coupon so be sure to unsubscribe as needed. If they have an actual membership program (like Sephora or Ulta), it’s easy to double-check any birthday rewards.
Anyone else have some great birthday freebies to share with the group? Let me know in the comments!
Oh, and hey, if you’re here because it is your birthday or nearly your birthday, Happy Birthday! And for real, thanks for stopping by on your special day!
