Rainbow Wear #TIBIQ
As mentioned in last week’s post, I really went out to buy joy. You can’t…buy joy, you can however, choose to only own things that #sparkjoy.* And when things seem gray, monotonous and groundhog day-ish, to me, that means color. And more color. A positive thing if you purchase such items at or around June, is that you will be able to buy a whole mess of rainbow gear (and often, with a portion going towards great causes) because PRIDE!!
Mother Flippin’ Kate Freakin Spade, dude. I’m on some awful list with all the clearance items where everything is terribly reasonably priced and if you have an itchy sale trigger finger, it’s very difficult. However, buying purses feels…stupid. I use the same laptop bag every day and on the weekend, I’m not going anywhere so what do I need a bunch of purses for at the moment? However, I’ve been coveting a camera bag - I love the shape and then, blammo! Kate showed up with a rainbow camera bag and now it sits in my closet. It’s a great size and great quality and I look forward to…wearing it outside of my home/neighborhood at some point.
The actual clear winner of this purchase? These rainbow hoop earrings. I wear them almost every day and they add a subtle addition of color with beautiful and classic detail. I especially appreciate a glittery hoop that thinks about the angles - the color is on the front, top half and the inside, bottom half so there’s a full rainbow look when wearing them. I would 100% buying multiple versions of these earrings.
Mix No. 6 is a staple in my wardrobe. I have at least six pairs** of these shoes, why? Because they specialize in bright colors and patterns, fit consistently and are very, very price conscious. You can find Mix No. 6 at DSW which means they are always eligible for a coupon and often, can be found on clearance. I bought these bad boys for $17 American Dollars. And at that point…they basically pay for themselves. I love how extra these shoes are on account of being both rainbow and glittery.
Bonus: INH Hair - Kacey
Uh, it’s not secret I have purchased a copious amount of hair and whilst it has been requested to do a post about that^, I have to point out the joy of unicorn hair. It’s very fun to have rainbow tinsel hair to wear on a hot, gloomy day. Who am I dressing up for? Mostly, my spanish teacher^^ and my Nana via zoom.
So that’s my joyful rainbow wear! What have you been wearing or added to your closet that “sparks joy”?
